2008-2009
Concert Season
Our fortieth season features a new work by Pulitzer Prize winning composer William Bolcom, as well as more familiar music by by Bach, Mozart and Vaughan Williams. We will recognize the 200th anniversary of the death of Haydn and the birth of Mendelssohn by performing works of these great composers on all of our concerts in 2009. Our season includes a collaborative concert with accordionist Katherine Matasy as well as works for chorus alone, with piano and with orchestra. The Pops concert will offer an entertaining mix of songs about the Weather, and we will once again present our free annual Children's Concert in collaboration with the Lexington Public Schools.
